The 2015 SEGD Academic Summit is being held in the Chicago, West Loop on Wednesday, June 3rd hosted at the igc, Industrial Graphics Corporation showroom. This is a free and open event to educators, students, and the design community. Join us for a day of innovative research spanning academic projects, curriculum development, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and dialogues on the future of experiential graphic design education. The day is organized around panel presentations and deep dialogues with both educators and students.

The igc showroom features various interchangeable retail, commercial, corporate and residential environment production solutions that are temporary, semipermanent and permanent personalized to cohesive customer driven messages.

One product is Rapid mount, a magnetic interchangeable graphic panels with inexpensive standardized frames. It is easily installed grid design system for both indoor and outdoor displays, weather tested for dimensional stability to handle variable conditions.

igc is partnered with Armstrong World Industries, and highlights the ArmstrongTM Ultima Create! acoustic ceiling tiles and soundscapes. This environmental concept integrates printed photography, graphics, pattern and solid color that improve sound absorption and provide atmospheric ambiance.

Our bar, Chicago Union Station Speakeasy, has both direct print medium density fiberboard (MDF) and acrylic panels. These acrylic panels have direct high-end printed imagery that are utilized in retail and restaurants as low cost solutions for graphical room dividers as well as sound barriers.
